Yoga is an ancient practice that originated 5,000 years ago in India; 800 million people in India are still practising Yoga daily. Today, Yoga is the #1 'trending' sport in the Western world. Participation has increased by 136% amongst adults between the years 2001 and 2006 (MRI Sports Trend Study). The word 'Yoga' came from the Sanskrit word 'yuj' , which means yoke, 'to unite or integrate'. Yoga helps achieve longevity and radiant health through the practice of physical postures, breathing and relaxation. It creates a sense of union between the body, mind and spirit using breathing exercises, meditation and postures that stretch and flex various muscle groups; 'a conscious unification into Oneness'.
